Dining bench seats with a finish

My DH said I made a pretty seat no one will see...but I see it every time I moved the cushions to lift the lids & it drove me nuts to see my pretty camper having such unfinished bench tops...so a coat of stain and several coats of a brushed satin finish made these more acceptable to look at...never mind that the cushions cover them up, I could see that ugly plywood when I had to access the storage space.

So in case you wonder how they look with Stain, here they are

I have the same dislike of the unfinished wood. Among a nice looking interior, it stands out like a repurposing of scrap in my mind, even when unseen. Thanks for the good idea to make it look more integrated.

I'd take a drawer to a hardware store and get the match.

We went to Home Depot and got a minwax sample sheet and went back to the trailer and found the closest match. Not exact but close enough. We actually liked the slight contrast.

I am having so much fun on this forum..reading all the different variations..I can't wait to stain the wood under the dinette cushions and we have been searching for a smaller table since we purchased our camper. People are so creative..This is better than Pinterest...hehe
