As a single mother, I use the inside stove for frying eggs and boling veggies or pastas but all meats, hotdogs, steaks or whatever get cooked on the rvq. I love it and use it as much as possible. Sometimes I wrap potatoes. In foil and cook them on the rvq while the meat is cooking. I would be lost without it.

We never use the outside grill that came with the camper. Drippings too close to the camper for me. We do cook outside and have a kitchen set up that works great.

Grilling
I use our RVQue whenever we camp. I cook slower, not past medium, to prevent flare-ups and always clean any grease from the bottom before re-using. You can also use the mounting frame to set grill up as free-standing.
Happy Camping!!!!!!

About 20 min or so on a medium heat grill Jim.
Also, I like to shuck my corn & use aluminum foil so I can add seasoning - I still pre-soak the corn though - about 30 min before i wrap them in the foil.
I will pull the ear out of the water and lay it on the foil soaked put the spices on (hickory smoke liquid, butter or olive oil/whatever) and then wrapt the corn tightly in foil - the water will help steam the corn - so you have steamed /grilled corn! You will know it is done when you press a kernel and it shoots out it’s liquid. Don’t overcook the corn or it will become mushy. You know when you’ve gone too far if the corn cob flexes easily in your hands.
HTH!

We have no aversion to using the inside stove. We've just not yet had the need. For outdoor cooking, we're pretty attached to using our Weber Smokey Joe. We do all of our grilling at home over a charcoal fire....which would make cooking over a propane fire while camping just feel wrong. Our RVQ is still in its box, sitting in our storage shed.

On my next camping trip, I am going to try to use the outside stove that came with my 2012 A122. My unit is in storage. The stove is still in the box under the seat. Does anyone know if it is a stove or REQue? Is there any tips or tricks to installing and using it? Thank you to everyone for their great responses.

The outside grill that came with mine is the Sidekick brand, not RVQ

It is probably an RVQue or similar. To see for sure, look at the box. If it is relativity bulky, its an RVQue. A stove would come in a flatter box.
Let us know how you liked cooking on it.
