Door Magnet ???

Hey, Has anyone else had an issue with the A214HW door magnet coming off? There is only double sided sticky tape on the metal part connected to the door frame. Has anyone come up with a fix to this issue? If so what was the fix?

They make a double sided eternabond tape.. Maybe replace the double sided tape with that, if the double sided tape is the problem.

Eternabond tape is well named. You need a jackhammer to get that stuff off.

Home Depot also sells a 3m product double sided tape. Great stuff.

I cleaned the door side and used liquid nails. It has not come off yet. On the frame side I actually drilled 3 hole on the metal and used a counter sink on the holes. I then used liquid nails and 3 pop rivets to secure it.

I am happy to say neither side has fallen off since the repair.

Mine came off too... I used super glue. Before I glued it I made sure everything was exactly how it should be.
