Easy rolling A frame

I had a problem with manually manuvering the camper (A214HW) into my carport (very tight) The single wheel that came with it would not turn, tried a double wheel, no better. Thought about a trailer dolly, but no place to store it and one that will hold the weight was $150 on etrailer. Soooo, necessity being the mother of invention (and a fixed income)[emoji6] this is what I came up with for $18 and 1/2 hour's effort. Bought a 1000lb furniture dolly at Harbor Freight for $7.99 and a 2x2 3/4" exterior handy panel at HD. I cut a piece to fit inside the side supports of the dolly, then cut a piece to fit across the top to spread the load better. I took the original single wheel apart and used the cup to thru bolt to the top of the dolly. You can pin it if you want, but really not needed. Granted it won't work in all terrains, but For a LEVEL concrete floor, it works great!Click image for larger version

that looks great!! i have used a floor jack before to move light campers around on concrete. not great, but it does work. you can take the cup off thats used for lifting and install a hitch ball without the locking ring, snug it up hand tight so it can be removed. works like a charm if you have a helper to guide you. this seems like a better idea to me though.

That is friggin' AWESOME. If I ever get hubby to let me concrete the spot we park ours on the side of the house, this would be so perfect! I have to manage to not take out the community mailboxes on one side, have pretty much destroyed my yuccas on the other side, so far the tree has been safe. It would be so nice to have a level concrete driveway to partially back into the work it then rest of the way with something like this.

Back in 2004 I bought a trailer dolly at Harbor Freight for $40, still using it and works great. Checked Harbor Freight and that same dolly is now $70.
Good idea you had, I didn't think of that back when.
