Engagement trip in the A128s

So I got engaged to my fiancé this laste weekend while camping in out unit... Just set up Friday had some good grub then hit the hay. Next morning woke up early had some breakfast and we were off on the hike, once we made it to the top of Taquitz peak which is a 2800 foot elevation gain in 3.0 miles... Whoo quite the view. I asked her to marry me. She said yes! So headed back to camp for a celebration good meal and to watch the super moon. One of the best weekends ever!!!!!

Wonderful surprise, congrats! What a great way to start out, enjoying your Aframe together in such a beautiful place.

Here's wishing the two of you many years together!

We'll celebrate our 23rd on June 10.

Very cool. I live in Hemet and work in Idyllwild. Tahquitz is an awesome hike! Where is that campspot, is it a yellow post? Looks nice!

Idywild is close to home so I really need to check it out. What is the name of the campground?

The campground we stayed at for trip was Thousand Trails. But Hurkey Creek is nice too. Make the trip! It is awesome there and lots to do.

Is Thousand Trails a private campground? Family member flips-flop between TT and Mountain Lakes regularly.

You are the second person to recommend Hurkey Creek to me so it must be a good place. I need to get a little experience driving mountain roads while towing.

yes thousand trails is private, but open to the public check it out.... It's a lot nicer than we thought it would be. In my opinion way better than mountain lakes.
It's a great drive to get used to the trailer when we went up there it was only our second trip with the trailer.

My family really loves Mountain Lakes while it does very little for me except maybe for the pool. In fact I didn't even use my free pass from the dealer.

I will be checking out Thousand Trails - thanks for the information.
