I have a forest river rockwood premier A126 fold trailer. (hard side) I cant find the fresh water drain, I got under it, and I don't see anything. It kinda crummy having to climb in the dirt at the campground to open it so I don't have to carry the water weight home can anybody help me PLEASE.

My cherokee has a screw off cap on the bottom side of the tank. DOnt know if that helps, but if you are under the trailer looking at the bottom side of the fresh tank and dont see a drain stub, maybe it doesnt have one?

I had the same problem with my Rockwood Rhino. I even started a similar thread about it. There is a spigot on the underside of the tank, facing the front of the unit. You have to crawl under and find it and open it. I was amazed that FR didn't think of an easier way to drain the tank than have people crawl underneath their camper, but it seems that's the deal....

Same type of problem on my 5th wheel. Got to crawl under a slide to drain the fresh tank in the 8526RLWS.

The A126 and A122 should be the same. My A122 has a small petcock on the tank underneath the unit on the left side.

Lin,

That might be a "Low point" drain. There should be a cap on it.

If someone "nicked" the cap, water will constantly drain out.

If that is the case a home store 1/2 inch NPT cap should work to stop your leaker.

A low point drain is a pipe that is connected to your plumbing at the lowest point to enable draining all the water from the lines during winterizing. (Thus the "Low Point.. Drain)

Since your hot water pipes are isolated from your cold water system after the water heater, there are actually two drains required; one for the hot water pipes to your fixtures and one for your cold.

They are usually found side by side under the camper and the pipes are capped by a 1/2 inch pipe threaded plastic cap. They caps (when removed) drain the water from the pipes when the taps are opened in the camper. (Air goes in the tap and water comes out the bottom till empty.)

The caps are then reinstalled to keep the antifreeze in the pipes when you fill the plumbing with RV (non-toxic) antifreeze (NEVER automotive antifreeze - POISON).

Did that help?

Just bought an unused 2008 Flagstaff 227. Hooked up outside water and had good flows from galley sink and outside shower. Drained and refilled water tank and had good flows from galley sink without turning pump on. Drained and refilled water tank again and now have good flows from outside shower with pump on, but only a trickle from galley sink. Don't see any crimps in hoses to sink.

Freshwater Drain 122S- This is?

I'm a brand new owner of a 2017 A122SXR (and trailers in general). After reading all of your answers, I think I may have found my drain. Please verify. If this is correct, do you adapt a hose to this for draining? Thank you! (Rockwood is not the best on diagrams.)

The valve on the corner of the tank is the fresh water drain. The valve inline with the hose between the blue PEX and the white nylon braided hose is for sucking in antifreeze using the fresh water pump.

I've never used a hose for draining.
