Fresh water fill port on T21QBHW blocked by lift motor

Hello to all, we just purchased the Flagstaff T21QBHW from a great dealer in Tucker, Ga. We have had it out twice since October and had a terrific time.

One question for the group. Has the port to fill the fresh water tank been moved on different models? The motor that lifts the top is in front of the fill port. It's accessible, but very inconvenient. Any suggestions on how to fill it easily?

Mike,

I looked at your T21 at Peco when it first came in and then ordered ours with a couple other options... I had noticed that in FR's haste to add the power lift it is in the way of the fresh water fill when the top is up. Since I already have a flex hose nozzle like the one above, bought at Home Despot, I didn't worry about it. Plus we usually stay in campgrounds and run with the belly tank empty.

Peco has a T21 on display at the Atlanta RV Show going on this weekend...

I agree, even though in theroy it should be okay. It sits out exposed to the weather anyway. I'll know how well this design works in a couple years I'm sure....

Thanks Red,
I see you have a T21 also. Is the lift motor and water inlet in the same design?
Not well thought out by FR

We saw the new one that PECO has at the show. FR moved the inlet about six inses to the left. No problem on the new ones. We also use city water and may not use the tank much. I just thought it was interesting the way they added the lift motor.
What options did you order for yours?

Mike,

Our water inlet looks just like yours...Our T21 was built in late November and delivered on December 3rd. When we ordered ours I added the OEM power tongue jack. I didn't look too closely at the T21 on display at the RV show and missed that the power lift was moved.
