Fresh water tank level

The other day I was crawling around under my Viking Legend 12RB. The specs says it has a 27 gallon fresh water capacity. Noticed some poor engineering regarding the fresh water tank as the outlet of the tank is on low edge of the the side of the tank, which is not the lowest point in the tank. The bottom of the tank actually dishes down a bit (the lowest point) and a few gallons always stay in the tank. Anyway I noticed something else: there appears to be several metal screws at various heights in the tank side. Presumably places to hook up wires for a rudimentary 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, Full tank level system. Does anyone else have these metal screws and has anyone actually put installed a tank level system?
