Furnace thermostat in A192HW

I have to set the thermostat to no more than 65 to keep from burning up. It seems to heat up 6 or 7 degrees before shutting off. Is it the placement in the cabinet? Thinking about relocating but no good options.

Ceramic is good option but not for off grid...

Thanks

Open the vent a little. Also try a small fan to get the air to circulate better.

If they are still using the same thermostat as my A Frame, read the manual and you can set it for 1 degree differential, the default is 2 degree. It will help some. I also took the thermostat apart and the thermister was laying on the case. I also made the hole around the thermister bigger.
I think the area of the A frame is so small and the heater so large, it just take time for the thermostat to catch up.

Thanks!

A small fan would help, and you are right on the differential! Found it on page 8 of the manual
Can't wait to try it out!
