Garmin Backup Camera?

Has anyone here tried the Garmin Nuvi GPS units with the backup camera?

I was thinking it would be handy to have on the back of the camper when backing up, since the car's camera is blocked by the camper.

Is there a handy spot to get 12V back there on a 122?

Tap your 12v off the marker lights. The camera will come on whenever the marker lights are on.

Also, ko777 installed a wireless backup camera, you could PM him to see how it does.

Wireless works well when going slow and during parking, otherwise you get fade in and out static in the video monitor. Since I have mine set with an on/off switch, I could monitor my rear of TT during travel. I could see vehicle following to closely from the monitor and when I can't see them with my mirrors.

The camera is attached to a 12V power pack inside the side storage-cabinet. I use Velcro and Magnets to attached the camera, so I could easily remove them for safe storage.

The camera on rear of SUV helps with the hitching.

I knew Marc could help. Thanks, Marc.

A backup camera is a good idea with little ones around like your little cutie, Ben.

Thanks! I also would like to be able to turn it on while driving forward, since it is hard to see cars that are following close.

I need to get some wider mirrors figured out too. I bought a clip-on kit from Amazon, but they just don't fit right.
