My Honda EU2200I starts and runs my 10,500 Cool Cat A/C in all conditions using the Micro Air Soft starter. Easy installation. Happy Camper.

What else can you run with that setup. Lights? coffepot? or just the AC?

Lights probably. Coffee pot, NOPE, not while running the a/c.

Per my testing, with a Honda EU2200i and a Micro-Air EasyStart on the AC, I was able to run the AC and the converter at the same time. I purposely discharged my battery to the 50% 12.0V state of charge to put a load on the converter. You could also run the lights and low load DC items like the radio at the same time. Running any additional heavy AC loads like a microwave would probably put the genny into overload.

Funny how I see people saying on forums and facebook that they just have to run the AC and the microwave at the same time. I mean, really? You can't turn of the AC for 5 minutes while you run the microwave?

I start and run the AC, Dometic refrigerator, invertor and a few lights (LED). Turn the AC off and use the microwave for quick popcorn or meals. Not using the water heater unless needed for a shower. Turn AC off and let it heat the water for a few minutes, turn off, restart the AC and good to go. It's all about managing the watts.

Water heater in an Aframe is propane. If it lighting causes the system to shutdown you're running to close to the edge.

Sorry, should have mentioned that the factory (?) SW10D (propane only) was replaced with a SW10DE (propane and shore) by the previous owner. I can see now how that could confusing.

I went to a welder and he installed a 2" receiver on the rear which supports a rack for my Honda 3000W 140 pound inverter and gas cans. Used it on 2000 mile trip and weekends with no trouble. Use a welder who works on trailers and you should not have a problem.

Northern Tool is running a sale right now where you get a free $200 e-gift card with purchase of $999 Honda EU2200i generator. Keycode 263176. Free shipping. E-gift card expires 6/30/2019. However I have found that you can use the e-gift card to purchase actual gift cards that have no expiration date. I got in on this deal this past June.

thanks for the note on Northern Tools $200 gift card.

I have been looking for a deal on a Honda generator for months.

Only regret is all the tools I needed for the new fiver are bought.

Can I use the $200 card to buy other gift cards?

Made it simple.

I took the Cool Cat off my existing 30 amp breaker/inverter and have a 30 amp extension chord safely connected into it.

When I RV park camp I just plug the extension cord into the duplex outlet that is at all RV parks or if I'm using a gen-set I just plug it into the gen along side the standard 30 amp plug that is typically on the HS A-Frame Pop ups.
I plan to connect the Microwave to this 30 amp modification as well. With 30 amps available they both should work fine.

Cost under $100 including the cord and the through wall ele access panel.

I have a 3500 KWH gen set I carry with me for boon-docking, lakes, and hunting. I built a sound deflector to block the noise but it really is not a big deal.
