Generator storage

Has anyone stored a generator in the front storage compartment? Both sides of the compartment are directly over 2 parts of the frame.

It'd have to be a small one. You could do it, but the smell would make its way in eventually. Sorta how a toy hauler starts to get that garagy smell. I keep mine in the bed of my truck. If that wasn't an option, I'd build a rack on the tongue behind the propane tanks and move the battery in the trailer in a sealed box

I have set mine up that way. The generator is an 800 watt Generac. I am pretty sure a 1000 watt Honda would work too. The setup uses a rubber tie down (not a bungee) to clip it down to rings installed on a frame that was already in place. There was no problem with movement. I did replace the hooks on the tie down with carabiner type ends because I find pointed hooks on elastic straps or any kind to be dangerous.

No smells made their way into the living area over the month it was in there.
