We took the RV direct quote to the local dealer. They were able to come in lower and I was able to get the insurance all in the same shopping trip. We are waiting for delivery until Oct 19th because I still need a hitch. I'll post pictures from our first camping trip. My only question is about the electricity. I see some campgrounds have 50 or 30 amps. Which one do I need? Do I need adapters when I use the camper?

Your unit comes wired for a 30 amp connection. If you want to plug it in to a 15 amp outlet you'll need a 15/30 amp adapter (my dealer threw one in with the deal--they aren't expensive). When you're connected to 15 amps the only appliance you can't use is the heat pump/AC unit. Some campgrounds have 15 amp service for less money, so if you won't need the heat pump/AC you can save $$ and you'll pay back the cost of the adapter in one or two nights. I use my adapter when parked at home so I can keep the unit plugged in via an extension cord to the garage and keep the batteries (I have two) up.

Hello everyone. Pick up is this Friday. I'll post pictures when it's officially mine and we get the PDI. Just a quick question, does anyone know the width of the opening of the front storage unit? I want to pick up a few Rubbermaid totes and don't know what will fit in there. Thanks again!!

The inside living area measures 80-82 inches from wall to wall so I would guess your storage unit is at least 72+ inches. My pup had a similar storage up front and front to back width of about 20 inches. Or you could drop by a dealer to measure so you can just go ahead on and have fun buying STUFF in advance!!

We have stayed the first night at the campground where we purchased the camper. Happy that we did as we had one minor mishap. I have learned not to sit on the wooden bracket that is holding the table in the down position. We quickly learned it is not stable and will pull out of the bench. Luckily, the dealer will be able to repair today. :-/

Other than that, how was your first night out in it? Thanks for posting photos; we love to see how others enjoy their little cabins on wheels. Can you post a shot of the bracket you referred to? I don't think my unit has a bracket to hold the table down when it's lowered. Maybe it's something new that's been added. Or did you mean the wooden cleats the table rests on in the down position?

Yes, it was one of the wooden cleats that holds the table in the bed position. Two of us were sitting on it while we were rearranging. I have learned not to sit on the table piece since it easily pulls out of the wood. The dealer fixed it for us while we were out. We also had a key issue as the front door could not be locked by the keys. We came back to two new keys that now work. Glad we stayed there for our first two nights. Everything else worked as planned.

Sounds like your dealer is accommodating and took action right away. Everything looks spiffy in the photo; is that a Toyota you're towing with?

A trailer without any boo-boos is a trailer not used enough. OK, lame but after the first or second minior accident it just seems to sound better.

We purchased the Highlander with the tow package knowing we would be getting a small pop up. We just had to add the break controller and tow hitch. On our first trip out it seemed to tow fine.
