We had a 26’ bumper pull TT with all the extras. We enjoyed it but hated towing it. We got our Aframe almost 2yrs ago and haven’t had the chance to use it nearly as much as I’d like but few times we’ve been out we loved it. We have no problems using public facilities as Texas state parks are extremely well looked after. Much easier to pull, simple set up and take down and everything we need to enjoy the outdoors.

Wow! This is a Zombie thread that's come back to life. Lol. I appreciate all the replies from a year ago when I first posted this. We're still on the fence about down sizing to an A frame or smaller trailer, keeping our current TT, or moving up to a 5th wheel. Quite a range! Been pricing newer trucks and I'm floored at the cost, so the 5th wheel is probably out of the question. We still love the A frame, but giving up all our "stuff" might be a deal breaker too. But I'd like to be able to do more back country camping, which we can't do with our current TT. We will use our TT one more season at least. Already have a dozen trips booked for 2018. We'll make decision next winter probably. Happy camping to everyone!

Good luck and bring this back when you make a decision. We are at 43' and find it just right for the 2 of us.

I wouldn't know about down sizing. Started at 14 then 27 then 33 then 43 all within 7 years. Only way to go now is down but im enjoying the room of 43 feet and 5 slides. Only issue is finding a spot to park.

And backing in is less fun too, but worth it.

We live in Ohio and we mostly camp in our State Parks. We'd love to be able to camp in some of the State and Federal Forests and parks in Pennsylvania and West Virginia and in southern Ohio.

Sadly most public parks are older and sites plus roads were built for small TTs. Still can get into a few, check your favorites. I don't bother with them anymore.

Our State Parks here in Ohio are actually pretty nice. TT's of all sizes should be able to find a spot that fits them. I don't know about other state parks though. Our bucket list includes a trip out west to visit many of our National Parks.

We downsized and havent looked back. I am primary user for the A-Frame, prior to the A-Frame, I towed a 19' Jayco trailer . We own a variety of rvs and yet always seem to take the little A-Frame or truck camper on trips. Go figure. Haha The A-Frame is great for solo or couple camping. Has the basic "luxuries". Easy to tow and store.
