gray water exit point

Hi there,

Used my new to us 2012 Rockwood A126 for the first time a few weeks ago. Went to hook up a hose to a bucket to catch the gray water from the sink. No go.

I have a black screw on thing that screws onto the camper side exit water point. It is hard plastic and has a hollow open center. Theres another black male rubber thing that fits into it that has a few protuding notches on it, but no threads for a hose to screw into.

What exactly am I supposed to have there at that exit point for the sink water?? Do you know where I can get it?

Camping World was no help. Said theyd never seen such a hookup.

Help appreciated!
Thanks!

Hard to tell without pictures but if you want to attach a garden hose for grey water dump port you will probably need to buy an attachment at an RV store most like myself do not have one...........

Was your trailer used at a permanent site at one time???????

Here is what you need:
Valterra T01-0091VP 1-1/2" x 3/4" 90° Drain Connector

I want to use a 7 gal aquatainer like this but the drain plug on the rockwood is under the frame lower than the top of the aquatainer still trying to find a solution I wonder if setting the aquatainer on its belly would be a problem if its a tight fit there shouldn't be a problem with leaks.

I would think that if you set up the way you have in the picture it would work kind of like a trap on a sink. There would be a little water in the drain hose but all of the other waste water would end up in the container.

What parts needed for that set up?

Vinnie, what parts do I need for your set up and DanM, will that valterra screw on part you recommended work with his hose setup or would I need something different?

Thanks to all!

That is the adapter that was delivered with the camper. It has a barbed end to use with a cut off hose and clamp. It will work perfectly well or you can get that 3/4 MHT Valtera adapter as most others do.

The outlet is up high, just behind the sink. It is a 1.5 inch MPT outlet with a cap on it. The Valtera linked above will fit on it or you can use a 1.5 inch elbow and sump pump tubing like the one in the OZandUs photo.

I like the OZandUS system, but use a garden hose instead of the big tubing he uses. I normally us the smaller 4 gallon Aqua-Tainer since I generate very little water. It stows nicely in the front storage trunk or the truck bed, until i get home.

nursecrickett,
I just use that with a real short standard hose that I drop into an Aquatainer parked on the side of the trailer. No special fitting at the Aquatainer needed. In fact, with the hose dropped into the large opening of the Aquatainer, there's more than enough room around the hose to allow easy air displacement as the water enters the container. That helps the sink drain as it is supposed to.

Our sink drains using a garden hose and a vented attachment. He made a small kit with sewer lids and Aquatainer for either campground hook up or dry camping use
