Question Hard side Rockwood trailers

We're close to purchasing an A122 for our first small trailer, and I see some models advertised as "Premier". Most ads don't carry that designation and I'm wondering if any a-frame owners out there know if there is a difference, and if so, what it is. The Forest River "Contact Us" page is unresponsive or I would have posed the question to the manufacturer.

If you look up the comparative specs it will list all of the premier features that the other models do not come with.

Having bought 2 Rockwood/Flagstaff A-frames, I am not aware of any "premier" vs non-premier in either the Flagstaff or Rockwood A-frame line-ups. The A-frames are pretty much standard (no factory options for a given model) with a couple of different floor plans. The biggest differences are between High Walls and "standard heights".

The standard height A-frames come with a smaller fridge and lower cabinet tops.

The higher cabinets in a High Wall (HW) allow for a bigger fridge (automatic ignition), a little more storage, and more headroom above the bed and dinette near the ends. Some HW models have a dormer. All the HWs now come with an electric roof lift - which supposedly has had the bugs worked out in the 2019 models (and possibly earlier) - and an electric tongue jack. All the HW features add weight and cost. The extra height when folded blocks your rear view mirror and adds wind resistance while towing.

just our experiences

You might get a little more feedback if you post on the A-FRAME sub forum.

After looking at the brochures i agree with pgandw. It looks like the Primier models are traditional canvas pop ups.

Enjoy your new camper!

sierra-jake, which are you interested in, an A-frame or a popup?
They are very different.

My A122s says Premier on the side. Don't think it's any different than other A122s models. Just more marketing, Rockwood Premier sounds better than just Rockwood. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I'll vote for:
Prior to 2018 (maybe earlier) A122S Premiers were built with a specific group of options vs the base A122S.

The 2018 brochure shows a sub group of floor plans that have been named as the Premier line.

So just the folks in marketing trying (and doing a good job) of confusing consumers and probably sales people...

Aren't the primers the gray goblins? Bigger fancier wheels, etc.

Some primers are gray .

My Premier is tan. The Premier's are simply a lineup name for a specific set of standard items (as outlined in the brochure).
