Hard side roof actuator-manual operation possible?

My Ricoh Titan roof actuator has died. I am in process of getting a replacement.
Is there a way to use the actuator manually with a drill or socket?

I am too short and not strong enough to lower or raise the roof without the actuator on my A213HW.

No. Some folks use a short shovel handel.

If you look I'm sure you'll find many threads addressing this issue.

Using a drill to run the screw rod in the actuator is a great idea. It should work as we use the same principal on the stabilizer jacks.. You would have to find a way to mechanically link the drill to the screw rod. Food for thought for all engineers looking at this forum.
