A213HW roof

I have read a couple of comments about the electric-powered roof failing and needing to be raised and lowered manually. Can anyone tell me how this is done? Is it just a matter of muscling the thing up and down, or is more involved? Does the actuator need to be disconnected?

Kdot, I think you just have to remove the pin on the push rod.
