Heated mattress with topper
I usually like to add a memory foam topper to any camping beds, but I have never had the heated mattress before. Another poster asked the same question but most people said they never turned the mattress on. I live in Canada and love to camp as soon as possible, usually March where temperatures can still be at freezing or just below and snow on the ground. So my question is do you still get the heat coming through if you put some foam on top?

We had a chance to use it on our last trip. You have to lay on the memory foam and compress it to feel the heat.....but it is there!

We camp early and late in the year here too, but not in March! Can't get the trailer out of storage till the snow melts.
We use a memory foam topper from Costco with the heated mattress and it works well. Also prefer a ceramic heater to the noisy furnace to take the chill off.

My experience with the mattress is that because it sits over un-heated space, it gets cold. This makes for uncomfortable sleeping even when the air in the camper is pleasant. This came up before I had plugged in the heater controls and spurred me on to do so. (It is not as if cold sleeping is a often a problem here on the Gulf Coast, where I was running the AC Friday night.)
Whether or not you can feel the heat, I cannot say. But the heater still keep the cold from "soaking" the mattress and thus the topper.

we have a heated mattress pad,wow does it work great! they say don't use them on memory foam.

I used a 2" also on top of the matterss with no problems. Got down into 20's but was also using electric blankets.

that's BS. 
i've been on RV forums for 10 years now and no one has ever posted about any problems using a foam topper on the heated mattress.
not any popup, A-frame or hybrid owner that i've ever seen a post from.
who said not to use them? please don't tell me the dealer!

I also have a two inch memory foam on top of the heated mattress. It works very well. I usually don't like a lot of heat when I sleep, but I put it on when the weather dipped into the low 40's. It was quite efficient turned halfway up. It got too warm. I had to turn it off. Next time I try it in the spring, I'll try it only on the lowest setting.
