Home built canopy - which type of velcro?

I'm a proud new owner of an A122. I am planning to make a canopy from a tarp and some tent poles I have laying around. Anyone have advice on which type of Velcro to use to attach it to the camper - I see "Industrial" and "Outdoor"? And, just in case I buy a screen room in the future, which side of the Velcro should I attach to the camper? Hook or receiver?

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your purchase!

The only advice about the Velcro that I can offer is that the scratchy hook side will attach to strings & other material besides the "receiver" side. The soft fuzzy receiver side will not.

Just guessing, I'd go with the "outdoor" type.

We went through a couple of types of velcro before we found something that would stick to the camper. I'm pretty sure we got it at Home Depot. I'll try to find the package and let you know what worked for us. Everything else we tried seemed to fall off with just the threat of rain in the next county. The stuff we settled on (so far) has even stuck well to the diamond plating on the front of the camper.

So far the dealer installed Velcro has deteriorated with UV exposure. Some of it had to be replaced before the first use.
