Hot water pipe insulators

I've seen this idea mentioned on Slim Potato Heads website and decideded to give it a try. Used hot water pipe insulators instead of pool noodles, 1 1/2 inch wide worked perfectly. They really reduced the amount of outside noise I could hear. Slims idea was to help keep the dust and wind out when he was in Arizona. I highly recommend doing this for both reasons plus it will help keeping the cold out and the heat in.

Not a bad idea, think I will try that since DW and I are planning a trip to the Grand Canyon.
