How To Remove Signal Light Plate?

I recently bought a 2012 Forest River T12DD and the left signal bulb is burned out. I need to replace it, but I'm having a difficult time trying to remove the face plate. I see there are two white clips on both side that are holding it. I used a flat screwdriver to see if I can push this clip in, but it's pretty hard and I'm afraid to push it any further to avoid breaking it. Any idea on how to remove this face plate?

Rubber gasket is holding it....while depress'n clip, gently pry the lense off

Might put a little lube on the gasket before reinstalling the lens - make removal easier next time.
