I see the light!

Just bought a 2014 A122s.. looking up.. I noticed a little bit of daylight at the apex on the door side. I haven't climbed up to take a close look. Not sure if it's coming from the top or light getting in from the side and just reflecting on the inside top. How well do the rockwood aframes seal at the top? Next time I set it up I will try and push hard on the door side wall and see if it seals better.

Any similar experiences?

That is a common occurrence. Some people have put some sticky back foam from a local home center store. I've not done this but probably should.

So.. I am assuming it's coming from under the roof overlap.. and would not cause a leaking problem.. unless it's a windy to rental rainfall.

not an issue with rain but you'll want to get some ac window foam to pack in there to keep the mosquitoes out. One strip of the 2" cut in half is enough for both side walls at the peak.

Cotton balls keep the skeeters out. No problem here with water leak.

Do you pack the area after the walks are up? Is this something that needs to be done every set up.. or is there a permanent fix?

Chuck, it only takes a minute to do both sides, so I haven't looked for a permanent solution. Yes I put it up after the a-frame is set up. Sometimes i remember to take it down before i take down the walls. Sometimes I just catch the pieces and toss them into the camper as I'm lowering the roof sections.

Ok.. Sounds good. I'm getting the idea I just need to stuff something up in the apex between the roof and sidewall on each side.

Wonder why Rockwood doesn't fix this obvious defect?
