Insect screens for dometic heat pump?

I bought little screens to keep insects out of my fridge, furnace, and water heater. I couldn't find any thing commercially available for the heat pump. I'd hate to pull off the exterior vent, it's all sealed in. Has anyone come up with a solution for this? Thanks Steve Click image for larger version

The bugs are attracted to propane, so I think the cool cat vent is safe. Short of removing it to place a fine screen inside the door cover I'd say leave it as is? Those wasps like the furnace and water heater vents the best. Good job installing them!

I added Aluminum Screen

I carefully removed that metal grate and did just that.. cut and added a piece of aluminum screen to it. I was really careful with the silicone seal. In fact used an exacto blade and ran it between silicone and the side of the camper. When I put the metal grate back on it came close enough to sealing that I am not concerned. Mud Daubers are horrible around here. I have had no problems so far! I may put fresh silicone sometime in the future... may.

How about screens with magnets attached for use at home and where you camp. Then just remove for travel.

That works until the first time you forget. Not used with screens, but I had a wireless outside temperature sensor that I would stick to the frame using magnetic tape. Only needed to forget it once to now own a monitor that's not reading anything because the sensor is someplace unknown.

This is in regards to All the locations where Insect screens are needed! Refer panel/Furnace EX/Water Heater door/Bumper cap holes! I just buy a Microwave Exhaust screen from Home Depot and cut to fit the area! Cheaper than the "Ready Made" type! Youroo!!

I had the cover removed last year at the FROG to check on a drain problem. When the tech removed the screen no sign of insect problems. Drain problem was corrected at the same time. Drain hose had become disconnected. Shiny was in its fourth season then. Also if you remove the outside cover make sure you have butyl tape available to seal correctly.
