Insulated windows on aframe

Some time ago I came across a post but not positive that someone had placed reflectix inside their bubble windows to help when it was hot outside and to cool the inside more. Has anyone heard of this before?

I haven't tried it myself but yes it's been mentioned several times that I've seen here on the forum.

I understood that reflectix in the bubble window is not recommended due to the reflective heat deteriorating the lexan over continued use and time.

My bubble windows came with insulated cloth blinds which seem to work quite well with keeping the heat out in the summer and the warmth in during the winter.

Tent trailer owners use reflectix but that's on soft clear vinyl type windows, not hard plastic such as our A-Frame has. From what I've read in other A-Frame forums, it's debatable for long term use. Nothing I'd do in mine.

IME, the added insulation is unneeded. If you have shore power, the Coolcat is more than adequate to keep the interior comfortable. If you don't have power, the darkened bubble windows and shades are enough to keep the heat of the sun out of the interior while the Fantastic fan turns over the small air volume in the camper very well.
