The can pictured is 6" deep, 12" tall and 12" long. I havent had the problem of the bag falling into the can or off the handles but I do see that Simple Human jas a diff design in this size can; it looks sleeker and has a cover over the lip of the can so that it is not visible - def much more attractive for a small trash can.

There is only a 6" depth behind the stove, between the lid hinges, if you decide you want to have a can in that spot. This is why I wondered where others were putting their interior trash bags and what receptacle worked for them? I will still keep the small black can, it might come in handy down the pun intended
