I have a dual fuel generator. Have never used gasoline in it yet.
I have never been all that far from a propane refill or tank exchange either.

So the inconvenience factor of propane really depends on where the OP lives and camps, and how much out of the way it is for a his relatively low fuel needs. Starting with two full tanks on the tongue, he can keep warm and charge his tablets all week without plenty gas left over.

Three of the honda repair places I have spoken with in town do not work on propane units due to increase investment in tools and training. Training is the big one as staff tend to bounce to "greener" pastures so often.

Is Shell V-Power NiTRO+ premium gasoline safe for all vehicles?

Shell V-Power NiTRO+ is effective in all gasoline-powered engines found in conventional, modern and hybrid vehicles as well as motorcycles, snowmobiles, and leisure marine vehicles.
Tested in today’s advanced turbo-charged and direct injection engines, Shell V-Power NiTRO+ helps resist thermal breakdown at high temperatures, actively protecting against gunk under tough engine conditions.
Shell V-Power NiTRO+ premium gasoline in Canada does not contain ethanol.

This is taken right from Shell web site, sorry if you are stuck with Ethanol in the USA.

Premium gas in Minnesota is ethanol free. It states that right on the pumps.
I also haul petroleum for a living. Premium gas here is ethanol free.

Missouri also seems to have an exemption for premium. So what do they use to raise the octane rating? Real octane?

I use a 3500wt propane Generac. About 8hrs for a 20lb tank. It'll run our A/C happily and NEVER ever have the jets clog up. Every gas powered anything I've ever owned I've run them dry even though I use Stabil or Seafoam and still the carbs get full of crap. I've never worried about it with the propane and since the odds of me ever getting above 7500ft to camp are thin.

I use propane, when I can, here's why. I have rebuilt at least 20 different small engines, Briggs and Stratton , Tecumseh, echo , Subaru and several others. You can instantly tell which one has ran on propane because the engine looks practically new on the inside. Propane burns much cleaner . With that said, gas is certainly more common , and easier to handle.
