Just bought a 2011 a128

Had a 2014 little Guy teardrop and took it out west for three weeks this summer. We had a great time but we kept seeing aframe campers.
So we have been looking at a few different kinds and have decided on the Rockwood. Hope we did the right thing... Picking it up this weekend.

Upsizing from a teardrop into an A frame

is a good idea, and Rockwoods are a good value A frame.

What is your tow vehicle?

Check the posts for mods that you might want to make to yours.

Ask questions, if you have any.

Welcome to the forum Droes. Teardrops are cute, but I am sure it will be nice to be able to stand up inside the new camper.

it all depends on the winter season where you live ... my Aframe stays in the garage during the winter season ... covers up north are not advised ...moisture retention, wicking of snowmelt ect ...
inside they just keep off the dirt/dust off the unit .. hey .. who doesnt like to give the RV a good wash on the first warm weekend of spring???

We have a 2012 F150 EcoBoost and 2012 Forest River A-frame. I understand they are similiar to the Rockwood. We have pulled it about 15,000 miles in the last couple of years with no problems or issues. One trip was a 10,000 mile trip to Alaska including about 1000 miles of gravel roads.

We hover around 16 mpg plus or minus pulling the a-frame at 65 mph. The Alaska trip averaged right at 16. On a good day without the trailer, around 19-21 mpg.
