lesson learn
Just finished my third trip second to TRF dry primitive camping and learn a few things. The furnace will run about 12 hours before running down the battery. Need to remember to recharge during the day. Second a small camp heater will really warm up the camper fast, even with the ceiling vent cracked open and the camper will hold its heat for a couple of hours, at least if the temp is in the upper 30’s. Even at low speed 5-10 mph will cause the door under the microwave come open on rough roads. Need to look into a method to keep closed off road. A frames get lots of attention which is a nice way to break the ice with neighboring campers. Leveling blocks are not the easiest way to level a camper need to invest in a better solution. And the door of the camper is not quite big enough for a fully armoured knight to go through, pretty sure that is not an issue for most campers. On same note make sure to remove WarHammer before entering the camper.

levelling pop up
Hi!
I used to use a 2x10 about 2 feet long with a 2x6 under one end then have my wife watch the side to side level unit it was good then have her kick in a chock while still hooked up.
With the 2x10 on a tilt you have some play, block flat on the ground never get you level side to side.

We have had good luck with a small (7-8") bungee cord stretched between the upper and lower metal vents over the microwave door. Before that, we would sometimes find the turntable plate on the floor after towing.

If by TRF he means Texas Renaissance Fair, then yes...warhammer is a must have in the neverending fight against the mosquitos. Especially with the outbreak of West Nile this year!
RenFaire Camper...Ye must post some pics of yer exploits. Should be fun for all!

Yes TRF is Texas Renaissance Fair one of two renfaires I enjoy camping at. It is Texas so the mosquitos are fair size sometimes have to fight them for the warhammer. I had plan on taking pictures but left the camper in the truck and the cold killed the battery.
DGrissom thanks for the tip on the cord will try that next trip.

Yea, I cut 3 2X6's just a little longer in length than the two wheels to help level from side-to-side...... need to use these before you unhook.....
I'll get into the spot, check for slide-out clearance, and then check the levels on the trailer. I added levels in the center on both sides and in the center on the back & front..... helps with quickly setting up everything. Still need to work on the set-up for the new trailer, had the old one figured out...... probably take another trip or two to figure out the new trailer...

Shouldn't you be camping in one of these vs. an A-frame?
