Levels

Our dealer put two levels on our a-frame. One cracked and drained out. Any suggestions for good replacements?

Amazon and Google are your friends. This may be what you are looking for.

Hopkins 08525 Graduated Level

I put one of these on the frame by the battery. It is not perfectly accurate there, but is precise so I can read it while cranking and get the camper where I want it.

Pooniel, do you recommend the levels with adhesive? I'm nervous about putting screw holes in the camper....

Try 3M auto trim or extreme mounting tapes.

Talking PUPs here. Usually roof has to raised a tad to even open door. Stuff is often stored on floor for travel.

I found gluing a level cross-wise calibrated in inches works really well for getting the correct number of orange Legos under the low wheel. First time, every time, and box of Legos is light, compact, and less than $35 at Wal-Mart. That way I can level before raising the roof (recommended order of events).

And gets it level enough I can't detect any error while in the A-frame.

I used my four foot contractors level (mine's bigger than oxcamper's ) to adjust the camper. Then stuck the bubble level on the most level part of the tongue frame I could find.

As you say, its close enough. Besides I always tip the camper slightly to the street side to help the sink drain and the Cool Cat condensation runoff.

These levels work really well:

level

They're about a foot long, and you sticky tape them on the front of your trailer. They're big enough so can read them through your rear window while backing up.

Combine that with an "Andersen camper leveler" under the wheel:

Andersen Camper Leveler Andersen Wheel Chocks AM3604

Then just backup until the trailer levels out.

with our small pup up teh stick on levels worked well..with our 28'TT they didn't work for crap, tried an app and wasn't satisfied - but a 2' level from lowes is the ticket.

Side to side I can do on the hitch frame or back bumper of the TT and front to back is easy - open the door and the level fits on the threshold or floor inside. I store it in the compartiemtn with the blocks and such so it's easy to get before unpacking.

I use a contractors level and place it on the counter top for side to side adjustments and on the floor just inside the door for front to back . This way my wife is happy when she is working in the kitchen .
