Question Lift Height Rockwood HW 214

Hello!
Have searched for forums and could find quite the answer to these questions:
1. For those who have lifted a 214 or something similar, why did you lift it, how high and are you satisfied?
2. Did any of you lift to put on larger tires/wheels? If so how much lift and what size tires/wheels did you go to?
I have a HW 214 and am planning to lift it to get better clearance on Forest Service and county roads that can get pretty rutted in the fall and winter.
Dexter makes a kit that does 2 5/8". The dealer where I bought recommended a shop that can go 3" - 4" by adding brackets.
Trying to decide what height. Also wondering whether a 3"-4" lift will provide much improvement w/o larger tires/wheels.
Thank you all in advance!

We lifted an aliner. We had a trailer shop order us an acceptable with a different drop ratio. It lifted it and 5 inches. Looks awesome. Only downside is that is that there aren't enough steps. I am thinking about doing it to my 313hw
Cost was about $700.
