Lowered roof with lights still on

Last night I was showing off my brand new A126 and I lowered the roof while the inside lights were still on. Now the inside dome lights and the fantastic fan no longer work. I have checked all the fuses that I am aware of and cant find where the issue is. Do these trailers have some type of safety feature that kills the lights if they are still on when you lower the roof? Besides the fuse panel where else could these have a fuse?

I am "assuming" this is a PUP or an A frame trailer?

Do you have a galley cabinet or something inside that has to be lifted up or pulled over? There probably is a safety plunger switch that is stuck or needs to be depressed when setting up the inside.

Good news, I attempted to remove one of the LED light covers and all the sudden the lights came on. But I still would like to know if this is a short of some type or a safety feature.

Certainly, all the lights, fan, etc are not all on the same circuit. Without being there, I can't begin to say what is going on.

My maiden voyage with my Coleman PUP, many moons ago, started out with a panic when I couldn't get any power to anything until I "accidently", intentionally lifted the swing up galley into place. The plunger switch controlled everything electrically. Without it being depressed, I had nothing.

On the older 2013 a-frames units with the old lights ,non LED, there is a switch on the hinge of the front roof and front wall that would turn the lights off in the down position, Dealer said it was possible to sit with an arm or pillow that would hit the switch and turn off the lights.

You'll have to do some detective work and use a magnifying glass if you have to. Look for the obvious FIRST, then look for the hidden features of why this worked/didn't work.

You are learning real quick by coming on here and asking questions!

As was mentioned the older ones have a plunger in the far right corner as viewed from standing in the doorway. I noticed the bracket was quite flimsy and the push on spade connector had no insulation. I actually blew the fuse fiddling with it. That would be my first place to look.

My 2011 A126 has a safety switch by the dinette seat, drivers side front, or if you are standing in the doorway, far right corner.
Maybe that plunger got temporally stuck down.

I usually leave the front light turned on when I close up. The cut off switch does its job of disconnecting the light and I can see that it has done so while the roof ic closing. Since I have LED bulbs the fixture doesn't get hot enough to worry about a failure of the cut off switch.

There has never been a problem for me. Your issue might just have been a coincidence as I do not see how leaving the light on could cause the problem.
