making modifications!

Looking to see if anyone else has some input. I've got a new 212HW, and want to add a battery monitor and some USB ports. I plan on tapping into the power going to the radio. The USB ports dont pull a lot of amps, and making a plate for it all to mount under the radio will be easy. I plan on an on off switch for the USB to reduce parasitic draw when not in use, as well as a momentary switch for the battery meter.

Also, has anyone wanted to swing the fridge door the other way? I started to swap it today, but the hinges are not reversible. Can I order them from dometic?

I did manage to make a grey water tank out of a washing machine hose and some fittings from the hardware store. Removed the valve from a walmart 5 gallon jug, and it is simple 3/4'' pipe thread. Replaced it with a plastic hose bib, and now I can drain my grey water without any drips or mess.

Since I never used the nightlight, spouse tapped into it for 12v power to the voltmeter and usb hook ups. The night light switch is used to power it on when needed.

The best part of your response, is that is the same combo I ordered on Amazon. I take it you're happy with it?

Yes, I am very happy with the purchase. I returned the one with the 12v socket/usb combo. I especially like having the voltmeter on the on/off switch.

I finally got around to installing my charging station. The local engraver hooked me up with a face plate in about 20 min. I was very happy.

Looks good! I like the battery level sticker. I almost did that, but thought a minimum would suffice.

Made use of the underside of the storage lid for hanging fishing poles. Now they are safe and easily accessed for a quick stop at the local fishing hole.

I just added a Anker 5 port USB 50 watt auto charger to the camper. The two, 1 amp USB outlets was simply not enough. I ran the wire through the opening for the 120 volt outlet in the microwave cabinet and connected it to the 12V system in the cabinet. It is accessorized with 3 red Lightning cables that will stay in the camper so I can now always tell which wire is for my Apple devices and which is for USB devices.
