Mods & Storage Solutions

We're spending the weekend camping in the yard, to put the new camper through a shakedown run. We're also staying close to the tool shed so that we can knock out some mods. Here's a link to pictures of what we accomplished today. There are detailed descriptions with each of the pics that you'll see if you click on them.

Wow! Very nice job of organizing and decorating, Dave. A place for everything and everything in its place. Even the all-important toaster oven. We once in a while will set ours up on the outside hanging table and bake muffins in it, so for us it has to ride in the compartment over the wheel well next to the sink unit. I admit it's only marginally more accessible there, but anything that encourages mobile muffin-making is a plus!

Way to go Dave! You two have been busy! Great job making of it "yours" so it works for the two of you! I purchased an exterior door holder at the beginning of the year & have yet to have DH put it on so I was happy to see what it would look like, once attached! haha

I need one of those power strips...keep it on my list of wants. The baggage door holders are great to hold the storage doors up - I love mine! Vinyl art looks awesome! (I'm now in vinyl recovery...ran out of space haaha)

Cant wait to see what else you come up with!

Great idea to camp in the backyard first. We are on countdown to pick up our new travel trailer and it sounds like a plan! Love your wall stickers too!

I'm traveling for work so I'll have to get back to you on the make/model. It's showing the inside temp.

Very nice! Like Handbuilder, I am glad you posted the link to pics of the (walk-in) door holder.

The power strips are exactly what I have been wanting to get too.
Thanks!

I thought about that photo while at the computer store today. They had a cord with the right angle plug and a 4 foot cord so I picked it up. The next step is Home Depot to pick up some more command strips.

It's not really a mod, but I just ordered a cover. We have the camper parked under a carport, but it's west facing and the afternoon sun bakes right into the front opening. With our hybrid, after six years of sitting outside exposed to the elements the majority of the significant wear was sun damage to the plastics. So, this popup cover is more for protection against UV than for protection from rain/snow. Friends of ours are giving us some tire covers, so we'll have our new baby completely shielded from the sun.

This is the cover we bought. Expedition RV Covers
