Mucho Newbie here!!

Just got approved for my trailer (go sign the docs tonight). Bought an A122BH. My wife and I got to the age that camping in a tent is no longer a fun exercise (actually....we find tenting more exercise than fun now). So....the A122BH is our first trailer. In my initial negoiation, I had added the awning/screen room. When I spoke with the sales manager, he said we should take this out of the deal as it's very painful to setup. Is this true? Is there some other awning out there that's better to fit an A-frame?

Just thought I'd post here and see if anyone (who isn't a newbie like me) has any advice on this. Is the FR one that hard to setup?

Congrats and Welcome here, if you could set up tents, you will have no problems with the screen room setup. I have both the screen room and pop up tent. Take a look at this pic you'll love the benefits of having it with your rig:

There are lots of old threads on the negative side of setting it up but new threads on the positive side of having it and how to set it up easily.

Search for screen room in this forum and checkout the newer threads about it.

Have fun....and good luck

Thanks ko777. Took me a while to figure out how to search ( to rv AND new to forums). Read lots. Seems like it's a 50/50 love/hate thing with the attached screen room. Wonder if any other companies make something similar that's a bit easier....

For me getting the awning/screen room pretty much defended the reason I went to the A Frame. I had a popup and camping a lot in the spring and fall when we would get rain I'd having to set back up at home to allow the camper to dry out. With the A frame that just means 10 minutes with a towel to dry off the side walls. If I has the scree room I'd have to set it up and let it dry which could take a day or more of the camper sitting in the drive way blocking my garage just being in the way. A EZup gives near the same coverage and I can set that up in the back yard and not have to worry about it being in the way for a week.

Just my 2 pence.

Welcome Bgerbran! Sounds like a start to an exciting weekend!! I negotiated my screen room but havent used it yet. At the time of purchase, it was important to have included. LOL...But still havent made the time to attach and use - because I've had one for years prior, I continue to use the EZ Up....Keeping the screen room safe and pristine for now.

Thanks everyone! So excited to pickup my new trailer! They are calling me today to let me know when their "pre-delivery inspection" is done. Can't wait. Maybe it'll be early enough to go out and try camping this weekend!! I decided to take the screen room out of the deal. We bought another that doesn't attach to the trailer. So excited!! Can't wait to get out there and try out my new trailer!!!
