New A122 Owners - Thanks Again to the Forum

Hi Folks. Just a quick to note to thank the forum members for all of the very helpful info. We're the family that was originally considering the purchase of an A102, and pulling it with our Saturn Vue. As it turns out, our beloved Vue required unanticipated and expensive repairs, and the A102 was on the small-side for us. We wound up trading in the Saturn for a Chevy Silverado with the Vortec engine, then purchased the A122 from an established local dealer a few weeks back.

We're happy to report that our initial trip was outstanding, as expected -- a week spent high up in The Sierras in a beautiful Forest Service campground, where we'd camped many times before. The ease of setup and 'little modern cabin' features of the A122 are big plusses. Quite a change after decades of sleeping on air mattresses! Woo-hoo!

An important aspect of owning this fun camper will be getting more familiar with it and effectively using its potential. It's great to know that the answers to many of our questions are answered in this forum.

Let's all go camping soon! Thanks again!

Sad about your Vue.

My 2004 Vue pulls our A128s in the rolling hills of Alabama. She too, is getting a bit old, and I feel she will not last much longer. I'll run her as long as I can as she is paid for.

Glad you are having fun with your A Frame!

Congrats! We love our A122BH (we got the model with the storage rack on the front) too.

Yes, David, our V6 Vue was a nice vehicle, but, unfortunately, was gettin' up there in mileage and the repairs were more than the vehicle was worth. Hope you can keep yours goin'! ... No doubt it has sufficient power for your A-frame. The Silverado feels like it's twice as big (taking some getting used to), but does a good job of pulling the A122.

Thanks for welcoming posts, everyone.

I wonder where I might look to find other Rockwood A Frame owners in Central Florida.
