New Grill

While not completely a-frame specific, I recently bought a Weber Q1000 grill, and love it!

I got tired of the cheap "rv-que" that never secured to the rails properly and didn't heat well. The Q1000 is their smallest grill, and runs off the small propane bottles. I thought I might try to get it hooked up to my trailer propane, but I have yet to go through an entire bottle and have made probably 8 meals so far.

There's something about it that just cooks well, and I've even been using it at home instead of my big grill.

It doesn't secure to the camper, but I got the stand for it and it all fits into the tub I added to the deck on my BH.

Anyway, if you want a small grill, check it out! And if anyone wants a used rv-que, I have one, though I don't recommend it!

New grill

Welcome to the club. Many of us have been using Weber Q grills for years. I also replaced my deck grill with the Q.

When I purchased my Flagstaff Super V this year, the dealer was good enough to trade out the RVG for a 3 burner rail mounted stove. My Weber Q has been converted to run off the quick connect low pressure LP of the TT

I'd much prefer a stove rather than the RVQ, I'll have to look into that.

Can you tell me more about how you converted the Q to run off your low pressure LP? That would be handy, though the little bottles are pretty easy to use too.

Its a piece of cake to do. Looking at the regulator knob, pull off the knob, remove the two phillips screws holding the knob mount and the nut under the knob. remove the mount then the valve and regulator assembly. Carefully hold the brass valve and unscrew the lp regulator from it.
Obtain from your local hardware store a brass hex reducing bushing 1/8 NPTF X 1/4 NPTF and some teflon tape. If you are going to want to go back to the disposable cylinder, then you will also need a brass nipple 1/8 NPTM X 1/4 NPTM. Buy Camco #57283 lp hose with quick connect ( Amazon). Remove the female quick disconnect end from the hose and reconnect hose, reducing bushing with teflon in the what should be obvious manner. Leak check upon reassembly in reverse order. If you want to re use the cans, assemble the extra nipple and the female quick connect to the regulator. Now you can connect to either source. 10' hose stays with the Weber Q. I keep mine in a large rubbermaid tote. Fits perfectly

The regulator on my Q200 is bad. They want $ 40.00 for a new one. I think I am going to convert.
