Hi All,

I’ve been lurking for a short time here and in fact once wrote (after joining) directly to “jeep-4-two” a question about towing, which was helpful.

So I’ve made the leap and today ordered an Rockwood A122, due in two weeks; I suppose its time to come out of the closet and into the campground.

I just wanted to say hi, and thanks to all those writing here, particularly those who had something to add about A-Frames.

Part of my deal was the screen house, so it was interesting (and scary) to hear the stories as they came in; as well as the different opinions on the A122 mattress.

Welcome Brian!

Looking forward to reading about your adventures in your new pop up!

I was super adamant to negotiate the screen room into the purchase, but now reluctant to exert the effort of attaching after reading the posts of those who took the time to share their experience....am interested in what you discover.

Always enjoy everyone's photos!

Thanks to all for your warm welcome.

I likely will not be using the A122 for about 6-8weeks due to other commitments, but I'm sure I'll have many comments in the mean time.

Welcome Brian

We are your neighbors as we live in Weeki Wachee Hills. We just bought our rockwood a122 in June and Love it. It does requires some adjustments because of its size. We just got home from a four day outing to Kissimmee. Had a lot of fun but it was hot. If you find any great camping places in Fl please let us know. Have fun camping!

Be sure to post some pics if you do a little "driveway camping"!

Hi Handbuilder,

Well I'm determined to give the screen room my best try. I imagine the extra feeling of space as well as the actual extra space would be wonderful. One hope I have is to add a pop-up privacy room inside the screen room for the porta- potty.

But if all this does not work out, at least the awning part of the screen room should be a big plus.

HI Brian

I continue to use my commercial EZ Up with zippered side panels (roll up doors, etc). I also have a pop up potti/shower room (trekker brand) that I put under the EZ up. I use the Wag bag Clean Waste dry disposal system for potty. For my circumstance and needs, it is an easier way to handle body waste than lugging a cassette of sloshing excrement to a disposal dump or toilet ...will take a pic of my set up when we go out in a couple weeks.
