Greetings all from ridiculously-hot Madison WI! Just wanted to post up and say "hi". I've been lurking on the boards for a while, but waiting until I had a camper before joining.

So that said, I just purchased a new A122BH, taking delivery Monday next week. Looking forward to it as this will be a big step up from tent camping when we are off to Black River Falls State Park next weekend (Black River State Forest - Wisconsin DNR).

Anyways, I'm sure I'll have 1000 questions over time.

Greetings fellow Wisconsinite! Ask away....there are no stupid questions and the knowledge base on this forum is amazing. We also went from tent camping for 20+ years. Decided to skip the progression of pop-up to hybrid to TT. LOL.

Never been to Black River State Forest, but we'll have to check it out someday. We're camping this week at Kohler Andrae, on the shore of Lake Michigan. Hopefully we'll be a few degrees cooler for the next heat wave this weekend. I've had enough already and it's only early July.

Trudinator - I'm also planning to camp the Kettle Moraine State Forest Southern Unit (Kettle Moraine South - Wisconsin DNR) at least once or twice before the end of the season. They have a nice quiet-enforced camping area.

You're real close to the Northern unit as well, have you been there?

We've been to both Mauthe Lake and Long Lake. Mauthe Lake has smaller campsites, but they have some electric sites. Long Lake doesn't have any electric sites, but they're in the process of adding some. We haven't been there for a couple of years, since our tenting days. I prefer Long Lake to Mauthe. Both have great shaded sites; some at Long Lake are in the sun when you get into the higher numbers. Over all, both are great parks with water access and both have access to the Ice Age trail.

Welcome to the forum ThunderRoad from another Wisconsinite. Congrats on your A122BH. We live about 5 minutes from KM southern Unit -Ottawa Lake. And yes we have actually camped there.

I just bought my A122BH a month ago, it's pretty sweet! Welcome! Any questions, and I'm certain you'll have a few, just ask. I'm still learning about my A-Frame plus this is my first trailer and I have learned there is a wealth of knowledgeable members willing to help.

Welcome from another Wisconsinite. This is an excellent forum with a lot of knowledgeable people.

We have camped many times at both KM North and South, as we are located almost between both. We are impulse campers, going when the mood strikes us, and going where ever we can find a site. Be retire and flexible we can almost always find a site somewhere.

Again, well to the forum.
