New owner here

Hi everybody. My wife and I bought a 122 BH about 3 months ago. We managed to get the awning bargined in with the price. We spent a week at Baxter State Park in Maine with it just last week. We sold ower 34' motorhome and replaced it with the Rockwood. I can tell you that we are very happy with our choice in a camper. It is awsome. The bed is very comfortable and with the screen room, we seem to have plenty of space. I ordered the 122 BH model so that I could add a tool box for storage to the extended frame. Works great. We did compare to the Aliner, but as you can see the choice was made to go with the Rockwood Aframe. I felt that qaulity was better and price was certainly a no brainer. I'm posting a few photos of the set up. Thanks for all the info that everyone shares on this site. It certainly helped with my decision to perchase the unit that we did.

Gary and Annette.

Hi,
And welcome.

Two comments you have made were good to hear. The bed was comfortable...and the screen room, it seems, was a big plus. How difficult was the setting up of the screen?

Hi Brian,

The original set up of the screen room is a pain in the kesta!. Now that all the velcro is applied, I think that it will go much easier. I don't think that I would use it for short term trips. I think that it is much more suited for a 4 day plus trips. It really adds alot of living space. We were able to close it up and heat it with a Colman lantern while we sat up and read at night.

I also have an easy up awning that will do fine for a night or two, but the screen room really is nice and it keeps all the bugs out! With it all zipped up you can leave the camper door open with no worrys of bugs getting in.

I would not own one of these A-Frames without one now that I have it.

Hope this helps,

Gary

What a beautiful campsite you had! Plus you have a kayak! I like you even more! So glad you are happy with your purchase and you conquered the screen room!

Hi Brian, the pics are great, I like the screen room for the purpose you use it i.e. shade and to keep bugs at bay. However I guess if you had a few extra family members turn up the screen room is not designed for people to sleep in right ? I guess the need there is an awning right ? cheers Antone, Sydney, Aus

We had a blast camping, we were not at a camp ground to say, but where we was there was several other groups of people, everyone loved our A128S, it was so cool getting to give the all around tour. We are really happy with our camper, can't wait to go camping again. The next outing is already planned.
