I removed the dual propane bottles from the camper to fit a battery box. The connector to the bottles had a leak on one side but the other side was okay. I am sure it will begin to leak as well. I need to extend the propane connection to hook the bottle up. I also want to make it where I can store the connector out of the weather while driving.
Any ideas where to mount or a good propane bottle connector?
The original connector I have tied on the box frame behind the battery box for now. Works okay so far....
You might talk to a shop that does commercial propane installations. I've done this and found them to be very helpful. The tech seemed to really enjoy the challenge of working on something new and interesting.
They can even give selective advice on things they can't do according to code but think would be safe. It could be something as simple as a longer propane hose coiled inside a small plastic tool box.
Current setup for the last trip. It did fine but its a temp fix. I figured extend the hose and new regulator? Anything special with these? Can I just buy one from home depot?
