new storage shelf ............

So one thing that we had issue with last year was the lack of where to set stuff. Not a lot of counter space in there. WE got by with just moving stuff around as we needed to but it was just a hassle sometimes. NOT enough for us not to love our A-frame, but just needed something different to do with stuff.

Soooo - this weekend i figured out a simple shelf for over the sink and will be putting one over the door as well (only shorter so it is up higher a bit.

1 four foot by 12" shelf, 2 rafter hangers, and a couple feet of nylon webbing and a couple buckles.

Can't wait to get our camping season underway!!

Could we get a picture showing detail of the rafter hanger? Is there anything supporting the front end corners?
Can't have too much organization!

i can get a pic later, (i am at work right now) but it is just a loop hung over the bumper (the strap) and the rafter hangers are just something i picked up at the hardware store.

No, i have nothing on the front corners. I put quite a bit of weight on there and, while it did flex a bit, it was very stable

Cowpiezzzz - great user name and creativity for shelving.

Your name reminds of a story, that has probably been around a few times:

A little bird is flying south for the winter and runs into a terrible storm. He struggles and struggles, but, his wings freeze and he falls to the ground. Shortly afterwards, a cow walks by and drops a cowpie on him, warming him and saving his life. The little bird is so happy, he climbs to the top of the pie and starts to sing. A cat hears him, pulls him out of the pie, and eats him.
Moral: Some who put you in the cowpies are not necessarily your enemy, and, some who get you out are not necessarily your friend.

We have the same type of shelves you have--one on each side of our A-Frame. What a space-saver!

Our shelves are put on differently than yours. I've seen many ways of hanging them--one camper even has one permanently installed, it goes down when the one A-wall is folded down!
