The 2012 Liberty was only available with the 3.7L V6, rated at 15mpg city and 21mpg highway. Glad your ages such a high mpg with your trailer. That's impressive.

Just as FYI: depending on equipment the Liberty is rated in the US to tow up to 5000lbs. Since its less than zippy by itself I'd think its even more sluggish with a trailer behind it.

My Wrangler tows my A126 fine, but its sluggish. Factory tow, plus an auxiliary transmission cooler.

I would LOVE to see your plan when finished for using the EZUP for your awning...my wife would like the same thing...just not sure how to pull it off.

It would be tough to deal with the water running down the EZUP toward the camper.

I purchased a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Larado...with the factory installed tow package...I asked to see the build sheet to make sure it wasn't an after market...it is rated for 5000 lbs...it is the V6, FWD model..I was originally going to purchase a chevy traverse and all the salesman told me i could just add a hitch and be ok with 5000...after doing some research I found out and confirmed with 3 different dealerships...that if I had added a hitch and there was a problem with the transmission, etc .... the warranty would have been voided....traverse only rated for 2000 lbs otherwise...as I found out with most SUV....I was going to go the truck route, but didn't want to drive a truck for everyday and only own one vehicle...I am getting 22 mpg around town...and pulling the camper I got around 19.8 and when I went to michigan a couple of weeks ago I saw 20.1 for awhile on the open road...very pleased with those numbers...Just as good mileage or better than my AWD Chevy Equinox

I was lucky to find a Larado that was a 2012, with only 8600 miles...lots of warranty time left in years and miles..!

I thought the same about the ez up. But my wife insisted we don't put it next to the a frame because it blocked the view from the window. We put it to the side over the picnic table the campsite provided and enjoyed a great view from the window. Great we did because we were stuck inside while it rained and had a great view of the ocean.
