New to Forum

Hello all A framers.....
Been following posts for awhile...
Decided to post some of my ideas and
experiences.
- Thanks to all that have posted theirs ... I have benefited.

About me....and AFrame
Own a A212HW...
-bought new in July 2015 from Nolans RV in Westminster,Co. Good customer service....
Backpackers to A frame as knees not as good as used to be.

-Pull with a 2001 F150 SuperCrew
Have a etrailer Weight Distribution Hitch... Believe me there is a difference vs just a ball hitch setup.

-Been all over Colorado with it to date... most of it dry camping
-highest elevation camped at 10450 ft... surprised Dometic fridge ran great.
-Have a 100 watt Zamp Solar setup for charging a Group 27 deep cycle battery.... works great

-Removed water filter... put in Camco
Pump converter winterizer kit...makes winterizing water system a snap.
-Do a fair amount of cold weather camping ... late fall and late winter...just don't use water system ...

-Added a volt meter readout,USB charging ports and a 12 volt plug port below the stereo.

-Had to have lift assist unit replaced after sitting thru first winter... looked like water got into motor ... very rusty.
Now cover entire A frame for winter and a special waterproof cover on lift motor that never comes off. No problems since.

-Cut a shoe hanger in half ( for small items)and hung it on the wall using command hooks...
Just to right of door.

- Used another members idea of a 1/2 umbrella over the door... use bungee elastic cord and d hooks to connect to lift handles... works great even in wind and driving rain... Thanks for the great idea.

- Have a couple of inline remote led light dimmers I need to install. Just need to remove interior led light covers and wire them inline. Got them off Amazon.

All in all ..... thanks for a great forum...

9 ft half patio umbrella available from Amazon. Pole slips inside a 1.5 in PVC pipe. Drill some holes to allow for height adjustments. Use a rod or pin in the holes.

Welcome to the forum. Do the command hooks get in the way when folding?
