I certainly won't be going back to Topper's for anything.
The guy from Forest River assured me Toppers was the best dealer they have in town. But we all know there is a shortage of....in the RV business.

It's here! Its really here! Scheduled to pick up day after tomorrow at 1:00PM. So I am taking that afternoon off work to go get it.

I am getting out my fine toothed comb. My list includes;
A/C
Furnace
Water Pump
Water Heater
All lights
Look everywhere for water infiltration particularly around the windows
Check seams and caulking
Check floor for weak spots
Make sure screen room setup is complete and correct

Any suggestions on what else to look for?

Look in our file library- there's a great "PDI" checklist that covers most everything.

I'll add. In case it's not on your list- try ALL of the functions on your DVD/radio player (surround sound, if equipped).

I made a quick search and found a link to a good list on the FR forum. It is for big Trailers but most of it is aplicuable to Aframes.

Thanks. That should be enough to get me through the process.

This is a great one and the one I followed for my demo/walk through. I have been very happy to find few and only little problems.

Check the battery age and condition. My water pump recycles every after several minutes, I don't think that is normal, check this while you are checking the other parts and listen if it recycles like mine. I will have mine repair under warranty at the end of this season. For now, I just turn it off when not in use.

I turned on my iPod recording during the PDI and took pictures of some of the parts. I do review what I taped for instructions I got from the PDI.

Good Luck and Have Fun!

Dont forget to take notes about the fridge (the controls are outside the trailer) Make sure you know where your fuses are located.. may be different than your previous trailer. My trailer takes a deep socket to tighten the lugs, my friend's A-Frame doesnt...check what yours needs The water filter under the sink is funky...I personally feel there is a trick to removing it...I want to break the damn thing right off, it frustrates me that much! I leave it for DH to deal with & ask him if its ok & working. haha Take pictures and do tell how youre liling it when it finally commes home.....so is your trailer dubbed "Carly"? I think it always will be, in my.mind!
