no running lights ...

It had to happen today .. as we are leaving for South Carolina tomorrow ... ahhhhh.
anyways, im hoping someone can help ... the wiring in the truck was installed professionally with a Nissan plug and play wiring harness .. but i have no running lights on the trailer.
All signals work, brake lights, turn signals, 4 way flashers, and electric brakes .. but i have no running lights at all on the trailer. I checked the pigtail, cleaned both with a cloth ... inserted it in and out .. and still no running lights.
This is really not a biggie .. as we only travel during the day .. and are off the road at 4 pm at the latest ...
Any ideas would be appreciated ...

Check running light fuse in vehicle.
Late model units have seperate towed unit fuses from the tv.

I would suspect the truck plug n play connection for the tail lights didn't make good contact.

Check your ground connection.
Clean your Bargman plug and socket.

Brake lights, turns, and 4 ways are all the same. Vet a meter and start with the plug and work from there.

I had to replace the fuse on my trailer. It is located on the driver side of the trailer, nearby the propane tanks. Running lights back on. It was the blue fuse, 20 or 25?

In my GMC there is fuses for all the trailer lights that is independent of the truck lights. I had lost my running lights on my TT and i found fuse # 25 in a fuse box under the hood was burned out. It could be as simple as that.

elind, you are spot on with this! Once again I had no running lights but the fuses on my trailer were fine this time. I co-incidentally had appt w/dealer today for my Dometic fridge annual check up & noticed my running lights were off. He found it was the fuse in thetruck. He replaced it with a red fuse...whatever amp that is. It was seperate of the trailer & not the same as my last fuse replaced. You rock!

Is there a charge for the annual checkup?

If an oem "requires" it for warranty purposes then there should be no charge!
