Opinions on used 2012 selling price

I am preparing to move to Arizona for my retirement. I do not want to take my trailer with me, so I am going to put my 2012 A122 on the market.

The options include the 3 speed Fantastic Fan, Carbon Monoxide Detector, 20K BTU propane forced air furnace and electric tongue jack.

The trailer is like new with several mods.

I am looking for input on a fair selling price.

Here are a few youtube videos of my mods:

Check the RV value guides but a lot depends on your area....... Check to see what like trailers are going for on ebay & craigs list............ My kids were lucky when they bought their KZ 2011 new they got a great deal & was able to sell it the next year only loosing $500 but that is the exception. As always supply & demand.....

Good Luck.....................

If youre not in a hurry, I would price it slightly below what you paid...maybe not less than 500- 1000-. In my area, private sale specialty RVs seem to hold their price. We bought a 14 yr old truck camper in very good condition with minimal wear - kept under cover for 3k because short bed light weight campers are harder to find.

Considering yours is in near new condition & has desired modifications, that helps hold its price. I bought my Jayco TT brand new, had it for 6 years and when I sold it, I got what I paid for it. I did negotiate an ezcellent price at time of purchase and took super good care & pride of ownership, included little things as well - water hose, pressure regulator, septic cleaner odor stuff/hoses, jack pads...I only kept the power cable and propane gauge.

Just my thoughts - You can always drop the price in negotiating, but you cant raise it if your low sale price is realized too late. It really comes down to how fast you want to sell it.

Of target about 70-80% of a new 2013 sticker as a starting point. Considering the excellent mods, I think that you will be about right.

Hmmm. I'd be contrary to what most seem to be saying, I'd expect substantial discounts from a dealer on old stock in new condition, so I would expect more for something that is used. I don't think user mods add much value. Prob closer to 40% off original sticker. I think in the world of used RVs, ppl expect a steal otherwise its just as easy to buy new.

Unless parking/storing is a problem, why don't you keep 'er for a while longer?

There are a lot of really great state parks in AZ to check out.

Also, you won't be as far (as you are in OH) for travel to CA or CO or up to Seattle for week +/- trips touring "the west".

Just sayin',

Deb,

I will be towing a cargo trailer when I move. I do not want to make an additional trip back for the trailer.

Why not try to find if someone will tow the trailer to you. Maybe one of the haulers on shipping wars.
