Other Newbie

Just got my new 2014 Flagstaff 19SCHW. Ok what I am doing wrong, when I try to push the first side up it want close all the way so can push the hatch in place. The level shows the camper is level.

Thanks

Did the roof at the peak engage before you raised the side? When you raise the door side first, you should only latch 1 side until you raise the far side and latch both.

I have to apply a significant outward push to get the side panels in place so the latches can engage. The seals on the side panels are just that tight. It is annoying, but the latches will close and with enough pressure.

Thanks guys I'll check the roof again and then give it a hard push to see if that does the trick

Larry, I use a small stool to stand on to give me leverage to push up. Sometimes I also push andget about 7/8 up and step to the left and finish lifting from the left. It doesnt.matter to me that I cant always raise it on one side with one push. Sometimes I can but most of the time, I dont...I start to the right then shift to the left and always use the small step stool cuz to most people, at 5'4", I am considered "short". haha

Larry, by any chance do you have your stabilizers already down when you're trying to open up the unit?

Should you not have your stabilizer down first before opening the camper and putting up the walls?
