Pop Up Handrail Hint

Here's a helpful hint passed to me by fellow RVer at the Lewsiton shows....

He said he always turns his handrail into the door while traveling and expressed it adds another level of 'protection' in case the door were to open while traveling down the road.

I know on our A Frames, the door cant pop open unless the roof locks unlatched and the door wasnt locked...but I understand what he meant & thought I'd pass along his suggestion anyway.

Our technician mentioned that during our walkthrough. I've not done if for fear of rubbing of the handrail on the door.

I also realized as you said the roof would have to rise (failed latch or forgetfulness) to even allow it, another reason I just go aft with the rail.

Good tip however.

I always travel that way. Our old PUP had enough "flex" in the frame, that the door was always coming open, so I've never chanced it on the TT.

The handrail is always against the door - even at home - all of the time!
