Porta potty

We've been out in our new 192HW three times now, and have used the porta potty that came with the camper. It seems like it's cheaply made and I'm wondering how it will hold up over time.

What porta potty do you use in your a frame?

Porta potti model 92853. It's taller, larger holding tank, and much easier to use. I don't feel like I'm sitting on the floor like with the one the a192hw came with.

I've never used the budget model that came with the camper. I prefer a Nalgene botle or a walk to the bathhouse.

If you want a potty, get a Thetford. They make potties in varying heights with capacity that increases with the height.

I various forums, I've seen two methods of dealing with this. Either buy a taller one for more comfort. Or buy a smaller model for easier storage and build a wooden box slightly larger than the potty that it will nest in but when turned over also serves as a lift platform.

Ccamper - Where do you store the taller porta potty while you're camping?

When traveling, I store it under the bed. Has to be separated to fit. While camping, I have an Ozark 2 room shower tent that I use as an outdoor bathroom. I also have the factory awning/screen room which I have considered putting the toilet in there at night. I hope this helps.

I never use the potti during the daytime, since I always camp in places that have restrooms/showers. To avoid having to get out of the trailer after bedtime, I put the basic low height porta potti that came with my 128s on a small fold-able step (that I can use for other purposes). The step puts the potti at a comfortable height. I set it up by the door once settled in for the night and move it in the morning.

The only time we use our Porta-Potty is on April 15th to convince the IRS we actually have a second home. The rest of the time, we go by the book - Twenty Miles to the Outhouse by Will E. Makeit.
